How BioMAP^® Systems Work

Compounds tested in BioMAP^® Systems induce specific patterns of changes, or BioMAP^® profiles, which are compared to a large number of reference profiles in the BioMAP^® Database using proprietary algorithms. Employing this platform, we can detect and distinguish a broad range of mechanistically diverse compound classes, enabling the rapid identification of lead compounds with activities most relevant for developing safe and effective therapeutics. BioMAP profiling provides early insight into human pharmacological properties of compounds, including in-depth characterization of biological drug function, secondary and off-target activities, dose responses and biomarker identification. To date, we have developed more than 25 different BioMAP^® Systems for indications in vascular inflammation, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, fibrosis and related clinical conditions.
