color: black; font-family: tahoma; text-align:justify;">BioSeek, Inc., a leader in applying integrated human biology systems for developing new therapeutics, has entered into a collaboration agreement with Amylin Pharmaceuticals. Under the agreement, BioSeek will use its BioMAP<sup>®</sup> Systems technology to screen and evaluate peptides from Amylin's proprietary peptide hormone library with the objective of identifying peptides that are candidates for development as novel therapeutic agents, focusing primarily on inflammatory diseases. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.</font></p> <p><font style="font-size: 9pt; color: black; font-family: tahoma;">BioSeek's BioMAP<sup>®</sup> Systems are a series of human primary cell-based assay systems designed to replicate the intricate cell and pathway interactions present in human disease biology. Depending in their mechanism of action, compounds induce specific patterns of changes in theses systems (BioMAP<sup>®</sup> profiles) that can be compared to a large number of reference profiles in BioSeek's proprietary database. BioMAP<sup>®</sup> profiling can provide in-depth characterization of drug function, including mechanisms of action and secondary activities, and can provide insights into potential clinical applications.
