Eric J. Kunkel, Ph.D., Vice President, Biology

Dr. Kunkel is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of BioSeek's core technology, BioMAP^® Systems, and performs strategic and management roles in the Company's drug discovery programs. He brings a diverse background relevant to understanding complex biological systems including training in engineering principles, human physiology, and over 10 years of research experience in inflammation and autoimmune disease. Dr. Kunkel is the author of over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and holds patents in the areas of inflammation, drug discovery, and systems biology. Dr. Kunkel earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Univerisity of Virginia and completed an Arthritis Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University. He earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
