BioSeek is applying BioMAP Systems in its internal programs for the discovery of novel lead compounds for inflammatory and autoimmune disease indications. The breadth of coverage of disease targets and pathways by BioMAP Systems has enabled the discovery of lead compounds with novel mechanisms of action, including small molecule inhibitors of MCP-1 and IL-8 production that block inflammatory cell recruitment relevant to cardiovascular inflammation.

The BioMAP Systems platform provides the opportunity to sample new target and pathway space and can be applied as a stand alone platform for the identification of novel, innovative drug leads. The platform can also be used in conjunction with target-based and other screening approaches to select optimized drug candidates with enhanced biological features. By enabling rapid determination of efficacy, side effects and mechanism of action of drug candidates, the BioMAP Systems platform offers an innovative approach for the identification of both "first in class" and "best in class" drugs.
