April

BioSeek initiates research collaboration with Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to apply its BioMAP® Systems to help evaluate selected compounds associated with several of Lexicon's drug discovery programs.

Feburary

Roy A. Whitfield, former Chairman and CEO, Incyte Corporation, and member of the BioSeek Board of Directors since 2006, elected Executive Chairman of the Board.

January

BioSeek enters into a collaboration agreement with Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co. (DSP) to apply its BioMAP® Systems to support compound differentiation, lead development, and drug candidate selection activities for DSP's discovery programs in the fields of inflammation and metabolic diseases.

December

BioSeek enters into a collaboration agreement with UCB to apply its BioMAP® Systems to evaluate a number of UCB compounds across several target classes, in support of target differentiation, lead development, and drug candidate selection activities.

November

Michael C. Venuti, PhD, joins BioSeek as its Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors.

May

BioSeek enters into joint research collaboration with Amylin Pharmaceuticals to discover novel peptide therapeutics.

May

Amylin Pharmaceuticals makes $10 million equity investment in BioSeek.

April

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awards BioSeek a contract to use BioMAP® Systems technology to profile the toxic effects of compounds in the agency's ToxCast program.
2006

August

BioSeek enters agreement with Amylin Pharmaceuticals to apply its BioMAP® Systems technology to screen and evaluate peptides from Amylin's proprietary peptide hormone library with the objective of identifying peptides that are candidates for development as novel therapeutic agents, focusing primarily on inflammatory diseases.

July

BioSeek enters into collaboration agreement with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). to apply its BioMAP® Systems for the characterization of compounds from GSK.
2005

August

BioSeek closes an additional financing round of $4.15MM, and recapitalizes the company.
2004

October

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awards Eugene C. Butcher PhD, BioSeek co-founder and pathology professor at Stanford University its 2004 Crafoord Prize in Polyarthritis.

July

BioSeek completes its Series B round of venture funding for $5.6 million, with all of its Series A venture investors participating.
2003

December

BioSeek awarded key patent from United States Patent and Trademark Office (No. 6,656,695), entitled "BioMAP® Characterization of Biologically Active Agents" covering key methods and applications of BioMAP technology for screening compounds as potential therapeutics for inflammatory diseases.

June

BioSeek awarded a two-year Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support the expansion of BioSeek's Biological Multiplexed Activity Profiling (BioMAP) technology for compound validation and prioritization in human primary cell-based inflammatory disease models.

BioSeek Completes $8.4 Million Series A Financing. The Series A round investors are Bay City Capital, Fremont Ventures, SImile Investors LLC and Vanguard V.
